April
Well, it is starting to look a little like spring, and it is about time!! Boy, it`s been a long winter, huh?! In the past couple of years winter has been hanging on later and later?! We use to open for the spring around the beginning of April, now we are not opening until the last week in April, That is about a month lost?!
I would like to thank all of you who came to see us at the shows this winter, it is always good to see you, and thanks to all of you who took my advice and booked early for this spring, cause most of the spring is booked up!
Another thanks for all you guys who ice fished with us this winter. Here are the last ice fishing photos of the year:
ARight after fishing shows ended we took a short vacation to Belize. If you have never been there you should go. It is a very beautiful country with the most friendliest people that are happy to see you. Everywhere the is great local food, no fast food chains. Every meal was great!! We stayed on an island off the coast called AMBERCRIS CAYE. Right off the island is the second longest barrier reef in the world and it holds many species of fish. Whats cool about this place is that you can fish the flats, the reef, and deep sea all within a couple of miles of where you are staying! It is great for fishermen and their families and it is fairly inexpensive!! Tours of the mainland include Mayan ruins, zip lining, and floating underground rivers.
Spring fishing here is the very best time to come and catch quantity of fish. Some days we catch over 100 smallies a day per boat and they average over 3 lbs with fish to 6 lbs!! We are all booked up for the month of May but we still have some openings on week days during June. This shallow water fishing usually extends thru mid July here, but with the weather now-a days, who knows? Here are some of last springs photos:
Well guys, I guess I will see most of you in a couple of weeks, right!?
